The landscape of Mortitx is a living testament to tradition and nature. Here you’ll find “marjades” (stone terraces) and dry-stone walls, centuries-old olive trees, holm oak forests, Mediterranean undergrowth, and the rugged coastline of the Serra de Tramuntana.

It’s a natural refuge for protected species such as the black vulture, Bonelli’s eagle, and the ferreret (Mallorcan midwife toad), with the Mortitx gorge as a key feature, crossing the estate and bringing life to this privileged environment. In addition, sheep grazing adds a traditional, rustic touch to this impressive landscape.

At Mortitx, the soils are as varied as the surrounding landscape. We find three different types: limestone, clay, and volcanic. This diversity brings a wealth of nuances and a minerality that harmonizes the flavors of our wines.

The north-facing orientation of the vineyards, constantly ventilated by the Mediterranean breeze, helps prevent rot and grape diseases, contributing to a slower and more balanced ripening.

Our aim is to convey the beauty and authenticity of this environment in every bottle. We craft our wines by hand, seeking to capture the charms of the Serra de Tramuntana in every aroma and every sip. The result is fresh, elegant wines with an originality that surprises and delights.
